Collection of materials (copies) documenting Bay City Traction & Electric Co. street-railroad cars loaned to the Grand Rapids Railway Co. (GRRC) after a fire destroyed 58 of the GRRC's cars. The collection includes: a letter from Wrege to the Clarke, 2004; and copies of relevant Grand Rapids (Mich.) and N.Y. newspaper clippings, 1924, 1927; a website article, 2004; and digitized images of street-railroad cars (7 pp. total). Some of the images include street-railroad cars from the Saginaw-Bay City Railway Co. and the West Bay City Electric Railway Co.

Wrege is an adjunct professor at Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. A fire on July 19, 1924 destroyed 58 GRRC passenger street-railroad cars. The company vice-president and general magager, Louis J. De Lamarter, continued operations by borrowing cars from Muskegon and Saginaw (Mich.).
